Kolkata, 10 July: THE Air Force has started accepting applications for next year’s Air Force Common Admission test (AFCAT) 2016, mandatory to join the force through Short Service Commission (SSC).

The last date for submission of applications is this 23 July, the Eastern Command in Kolkata said in a release on Friday, adding that the applications could be submitted only online at Air Force’s official career website

On passing AFCAT, an aspirant will qualify for any of the SSC courses run by the Air Force and on successful completion, will get recruited in any of his/her chosen branches such as flying, technical or in ground duty.

The AFCAT next year is tentatively scheduled for the month of July.
