Howrah, 28 December: KOLKATA-headquartered Bandhan Bank has opened two new branches ~ one at Dakshineswar and the other at Kadamtala in Howrah, while it is scheduled to throw open another branch at Katwa in Burdwan tomorrow.
This will take the number of Bandhan Bank branches in the country to 750, of which 330 are in West Bengal.
The branch at Dakshineswar was today inaugurated by Maharaj of Adyapeath, Mural Bhai, in presence of Bandhan founder CEO Chandra Shekhar Ghosh.
The branch at Kadamtala was inaugurated by the Mayor of Howrah, Rathin Chakravarty. This branch is located at Kantapukur, 3rd Bye Lane at Bantra.
Bandhan Bank currently has 3,390 touch points all over India comprising branches, doorstep service centres (DSC), and ATMs, and enjoys a customer base of around 09.7 million.
Since starting operations as a bank on 23 August 2015 with 501 branches, 2,022 DSCs, and 50 ATMs in 24 states, Bandhan Bank has mobilised deposits of more than Rs 19,000-crore and its outstanding loan book stands close to Rs 18,000-crore.
The bank has two divisions ~ general banking and micro banking, offering a suite of retail financial solutions, including a variety of savings and loan products.
