Kolkata, 08 December: A four-day conference of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan school principals from all over India today kicked off at Salt Lake.

Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi inaugurated the 7th conference at Salt Lake’s GK Vidya Mandir this morning. The conference will continue until 11 December.

Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Indian Culture, Swami Suparnananda Maharaj, graced as the occasion as chief guest.

The conference aims to bring all principals of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan secondary and senior secondary schools in the country to a common platform and discuss and delve on the best practices for implementation.

In his address to the principals, Tripathi emphasised that good faculty was the backbone of any institution and it was the work of the principals to guide the faculty to train the children who are the assets of the nation.

“The principal must be able to identify teachers who can motivate students to think from different perspectives and spur holistic learning. An educational atmosphere must be created to make the children understand they are the builders of future India,” he said.
