GJM Bimal meeting Darjeeling
POLITICS OF SYMBOLISM: Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) president Bimal Gurung addresses a gathering at Motor Stand in Dareeling on Wednesday marking the 9th foundation day of the party that he had founded on 07 October 2007 to strive for a separate Gorkhaland state out of West Bengal. Addressing the large gathering, Gurung said that over the next few days he would cover 9,000 km on foot to rekindle the demand for Gorkhaland and urged other political parties in the Hills to collaborate with the GJM for the cause of a separate state.
