A BJP cadre in Bengal fabricated the photographs of both the Chief Ministers and posted them on Facebook in an allegedly derogatory manner. On top of this, he added comments maligning the two CMs, both of whom do not lead a nuptial life.
As soon as this came to the notice of Trinamool workers at Salboni in West Midnapore, they lodged an FIR with the police. After a preliminary investigation, cops from Salboni police station have now arrested the accused BJP cadre Babua Ghosh, who hails from Soula village.
Ghosh, in his early 30’s, is an active district level BJP worker in West Midnapore. He allegedly enjoys a rapport with state BJP leaders, including president Dilip Ghosh.
Police said that they have confiscated the mobile phone using which Ghosh had uploaded the derogatory photo-post on Facebook.
During a public meet in Kolkata on 28 August, party supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had asked the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad activists to become more active on social media and counter BJP’s one negative comment with 10.
