Malda: BORDER Security Force (BSF) personnel have nabbed a man with fake Indian currency notes worth Rs 2-lakh face value from a village along Bangladesh border in Malda. All the seized fake notes are in Rs 2,000 denomination.

The man, identified as Bishnupada Biswas (47), has been appended by a BSF patrol team from near the border at Par Deonapur village under Baishabnagar police station jurisdiction.

BSF sources said that past Monday midnight, Biswas was spotted picking up a packet from the near the barbed fencing at Par Deonapur. As he started walking back to the village, jawans stopped him and on searching the packet found the fake currency notes.

During the day today, Biswas was handed to Baishabnagar police station, which has now arrested him.
