Kolkata, 9 August: CATHAY Pacific and its subsidiary Dragonair have announced a promotion on airfare offering up to 5 per cent discount on its international flights from six Indian airports, including Kolkata.
Named The Freedom to Fly, the offer is valid for what Cathay and Dragonair call the premium economy category ~ an upgrade of the economy class offering flyers with additional space and comfort.
The offer can be availed on flights to Hong Kong, other Asian countries, and destinations in North America, Australia and New Zealand, said an official release. Bookings have to be made within August, with the travel period ranging between 01 September and 30 November this year.
There is a flip-side though: ticket bookings under the offer can be made only over their official websites ~ www.cathaypacific.in or www.dragonair.co.in, or through the airline’s own reservation centres.
Rajesh Menon, the airlines’ regional sales and marketing manager for South Asia, said that they were delighted to offer “great deals” to Indian flyers on advance bookings.
Cathay Pacific and Dragonair operate 48 weekly passenger flights from India to Hong Kong, from where it offers seamless connectivity to over 180 destinations worldwide. Other than Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru are the places that they connect in India.
This apart, Cathay Pacific is one of the biggest air cargo operators in India with scheduled freighter services to and from Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
