Kolkata: THE Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has included three more officers in its special investigation team (SIT) which is probing the multi-crore Saradha Chit-fund Scam.
The three new officers include two of superintendent rank and one deputy superintendent. They are likely to fly down to Kolkata tomorrow and join the investigation.
CBI had formed the SIT in 2014 after the Supreme Court directed it to probe the Saradha Chit-fund Scam and also several other chit-funds that are accused of illegally collecting huge deposits from people.
The four-member SIT was formed under joint director Rajiv Singh. With the inclusion of three more officers, the investigation is expected to gain speed.
