Renowned cardiac surgeon and chairman of Narayana Health, Devi Shetty, and Biocon chairman Kiran Mazumdar Shaw were present at the inauguration of the accelerator at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital in Howrah today.

“High radiotherapy delivery speeds have led to better productivity and efficiency and higher patient throughput, high precision has enabled better delivery of radiation at the targeted site, thus minimising unnecessary radiation exposure and improving the quality of life. The availability of Versa HD linear accelerator in our Howrah hospital is an important step in that direction”, Shetty said on the occasion.
