Kolkata: As part of the ongoing Vijay Diwas celebrations, an enchanting musical extravaganza was organised by the Eastern Army Command at Prinsep Ghat in Kolkata Friday evening.
A conglomerate of military bands comprising Brass, Pipe and, Jazz enthralled the audience with their rendition of martial and patriotic tunes.
The evening set off with “Sam Bahadur”. Apart from the martial music, the Band Display had a fair sprinkling of patriotic Hindi and Bengali numbers adding vibrancy to the function.
The melodious music juxtaposed with the grand setting of Prinsep Memorial added to the ambiance.
Bengal Governor, Keshari Nath Tripathi, was present on the occasion as the chief guest, while Lt Gen M M Naravane, the GoC-in-C of Eastern Command, was the guest of honour.
