Siliguri: A middle-aged man, who often used to create nuisance in a drunken state, has been lynched in north Bengal.
This has happened at Nepuchapur tea garden under Malbazar police station jurisdiction in Jalpaiguri. The deceased has been identified as Shravan Rawtia (46), a resident of Bazar Line in the tea garden.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that Rawtia used to under the influence of alcohol for the most part of the day and carry out atrocities on people.
Last night too he was creating trouble in the area when the people got angry and beat him dead.
Police retrieved his dead body today morning and sent it for post-mortem to Jalpaiguri District Hospital.
The cops have registered a murder case against unidentified people for killing Rawtia.
