“This is the first Wai Wai City noodles bar that we have opened here today bang opposite to South City Mall. By December, we shall have another four such outlets at popular locations in Kolkata where people hang around,” company executive director Varun Chaudhary said.

“As regards West Bengal, our plan is to have 25 Wai Wai City noodles bars by the end of the year.”

The company already has a Wai Wai City noodles bar at Sevoke Road in Siliguri, which was thrown open about two months ago. The other locations that they will be eyeing in the next few months include Asansol, Durgapur, Burdwan, Haldia, and Cooch Behar, master franchise Ratish Gupta said.

“These are quick serve restaurants (QSR) that we are setting up on franchise model. Since ours is the only exclusive outlet serving made to eat noodles, we believe it will be a hit in Bengal, where Wai Wai is a loved brand,” Chaudhary supplemented.
