Kolkata: West Bengal & Sikkim directorate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) has become the champion in the national level shooting event organised by the NCC at Chandigarh.
The championship, which kicked off on 7 August, concluded today. In all, 17 teams representing all NCC directorates in the country participated. Each state team consisted of 16 cadets ~ eight each of boys and girls competing in 22 mm Peep Sight and 22 mm Open Sight.
The final medal tally of Bengal & Sikkim team stands at 4 Gold, 4 Silver, and 1 Bronze leading to 42 points. Maharashtra is a distant second with 19 points.
