Kolkata: Snag in a Metro train led to passengers getting stranded inside the train for about five minutes at Park Street Metro station today.
As soon as the Dum Dum-bound air-conditioned train rolled into Park Street station around 2.15 pm, the power supply to the train got snapped. As a result of this, the doors did not open and neither those inside the train could get out nor those on the platform could get in.
This continued for about five minutes and only then the power supply to the train got restored. The snag resulted in Metro services getting stalled for about 15 minutes.
This has happened on a day an unattended tiffin box led to a bomb-scare at Rabindra Sadan Metro station. Bomb disposal squad found nothing harmful inside the tiffin box.
