Siliguri: A teenage girl was mowed dead by a passenger train at Matelli in Jalpaiguri district.
Priyanka Mahalai was a resident of Matelli’s Kilkot tea garden. Today 16 April early afternoon she was returning home after bathing in Murti river.
It was then that a Siliguri-Alipurduar passenger train knocked her dead near the Murti Rail Bridge.
Government Railway Police personnel from New Mal later retrieved her body and sent for post-mortem.
