Cooch Behar: The girl from Cooch Behar who has topped the Madhyamik exam this year does not have an account in any of the social media networks that people of her age are almost addicted to.

Sanjibani Debnath of Cooch Behar Suniti Academy has scored 689 out of 700 to come first in the state in the Madhyamik exam.

Sanjibani has scored 100 full marks in mathematics, 99 in both physical science and life science, 98 in Bengali, history, and geography, and has scored 97 in English. Her overall our school is 98.4 per cent.

Speaking to reporters at her residence after the exceptional result, Sanjibani said that she neither has an account on Facebook nor uses WhatsApp.

“I concentrated on my studies and pursued the lessons regularly but never invited any extra psychological pressure on myself. For recreation, I practice music but is not in the habit of spending time on the mobile phone,” she said.

The tiny girl, who belongs to a middle-class family, said that she wants to study hard and become a doctor in the future. “This is my father’s dream and I want to make it happen.”
