Kolkata: AN archer from Kolkata has won gold medal in the Asian Archery Championships held at Dhaka in Bangladesh from 24-30 November.

The victor archer, Trisha Deb, is an employee of South Eastern Railway (SER). She represented India in the Championships where archers from seven countries participated.

This is not the first time that Deb has made Kolkata proud. She in the Indian team that secured a silver medal in the World Archery Championships held at Mexico on 15-22 October.

Two others in the winning team were Jyoti Surekha, and Lily Charu. Interestingly, all of the three of them are employees of the Indian Railways.

Anirban Datta, additional general manager, and J K Saha, president of SER Sports Association today felicitated archer Deb on her achievement at the SER headquarters at Garden Reach in the city.
