Kolkata, 03 September: AFTER a day-long speculation over his whereabouts, Siddhartha Das, the former live-in partner of prime accused Indrani Mukerjea in the Sheena Bora murder, reached Khar police station in Mumbai on Thursday night.
The investigators in Mumbai are questioning Siddartha as regards his communications with Sheena, his biological daughter who was murdered in 2012.
Since early morning on Thursday, Das, his wife and son could not be spotted at their rented house in Durganagar in Dum Dum in north Kolkata. His landlord and neighbours denied knowledge about their whereabouts.
Das was questioned by a visiting Mumbai Police team in Kolkata for nearly two hours on Wednesday evening. The investigators had obtained a written statement from him.
The Mumbai Police team also on Thursday questioned some business associates of arrested Sanjeev Khanna, a former husband of Indrani. Sources said that the police are trying to trace the source of income of Khanna, who is a co-accused in the Sheena Bora murder and is currently in police custody in Mumbai.
