Siliguri: A piece of good news for tourists planning a trip to Darjeeling-Sikkim region this summer vacation but are failing to get a confirmed train ticket!
Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to run a special weekly train between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri via Siliguri Jn – Bagdogra from 22 May. The special train will make 12 trips between 22 May and 27 June.
Special train 03059 will leave from Howrah every Tuesday at 10.50 pm and reach New Jalpaiguri at 01.05 pm the next day. On the return leg, special train 03060 will start from New Jalpaiguri every Wednesday at 10.15 pm and arrive at Howrah at 11.45 am the next day.
The train will stop at Siliguri Jn, Bagdogra, Naxalbari, Thakurganj, Aluabari Road, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Barddhaman, and Bandel en route destination. It will have three AC 3 tier coaches, 11 sleeper class coaches, and two general second class cum luggage coaches.
