Midnapore: A sitting Lok Sabha MP of the Trinamool has accused that his personal assistant has been abducted by a senior police officer in Bankura district.

According to the MP, the officer is eyeing to contest the coming Lok Sabha polls on Trinamool ticket and, the abduction is part of the tactics to corner him.

Saumitra Khan, the Trinamool MP from Bishnupur Lok Sabha seat, created a sensation by making the allegation in a video post on Facebook on Tuesday evening.

He has alleged that the SDPO of Bishnupur, Sukumal Das, kidnapped his personal assistant Sushanta Da alias Gopi today. He also accused the SDPO of trying to frame him under false charges to malign his image in the public.

The Trinamool MP appeared furious in the video post and he has said that he is flying back from New Delhi to Bishnupur tomorrow morning.

“I will personally lead a gherao of Bishnupur police station at 10 tomorrow morning if the SDPO does not stop his nonsense acts. I am telling Bankura SP to act against the SDPO at once and, I am requesting the Chief Minister to terminate him from service,” Khan said.

He alleged that the SDPO is targeting him as he wants to contest the Lok Sabha polls on Trinamool ticket. Interestingly, BJP had recently complained to the Election Commission of India against the same SDPO alleging that he is functioning like a Trinamool leader.

Prior to Tuesday, Khan had uploaded a post on Facebook a few days ago wherein he alleged that flattery has become only a way to maintain existence in Trinamool.

Khan was earlier with the Congress. In 2014 he resigned as a Congress MLA and, joined the Trinamool. He won the Lok Sabha election that year from Bishnupur on a Trinamool ticket.
